Airbus, Med, myself
With the A380 being abandoned, Airbus decided to launch its own twin VLA against the 777-9X in the form of a 7 frames stretched A350-1000.
Four frames are added to the "A" section, 3 to the "C" section, to keep the doors within a 60 feet distance from each other. For operators aiming at a higher density layout, an optional fifth door pair (type C) in the back section raises the maximum capacity from 440 to 495 seats.
The -1100 keeps the -1000 wings, featuring a custom version of the larger A350-900/ULR winglets. The overall length is 78.23 metres, slightly longer than its main competitor, but still within the 80 metres box. The engines are slightly beefed-up Trent XWBs, featuring T7000 improvements, and the higher capacity and MTOW mean a slightly decreased range.
