Post-Merger SunWest DC-9-30

Even after the TransitAir merger, SunWest maintained a fleet of DC-9’s, as many of its pilots were already trained for them, its size made it useful as a regional airliner, and SunWest had already bought nearly a dozen more DC-9-30’s just before talks about the merger began, and some were still being delivered after the merger. However, in 1998, it retired its -10 models because they were old, and its sole -50 remained in service until 2001, when it became an exhibit at a museum near the airline's headquarters. The DC-9-30’s continued to fly, with the last one being retired on May 23rd, 2006 at 24 years old. It was replaced the next day by the last of the Boeing 717's, which had been delivered the same day the DC-9 was retired.

It's very important that you leave your feedback, it never ceases to help me in my future works! ;)
