Founded in 2003 as the international airline market rebounded from its post-9/11 slump, Vitrav - simplified from 'vit räv', Swedish for 'white fox' - is a boutique airline meant primarily for Swedish and European business travelers, operating long-range routes to destinations such as New York, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong, in addition to standard intra-European flights.

While the first brand iteration was based around a more realistic fox image, the 10 year anniversary brand refresh utilized a diamond pattern and used that to form an angular head of a fox. The aircraft shown here wearing the 2013 livery, SE-RAV, was the first A340 purchased by Vitrav in 2003. A330s were purchased in 2007, and as the twin-engine wide-body fleet grows, the A340s are being slowly retired, although they are predicted to continue operating with Vitrav until at least 2022.

This seat map shows the post-2013 configuration, when a premium economy cabin - titles EconPlus - was added, and the Business Class cabin was converted from the 2-2-2 angle-flat product originally installed on the airline's A340s to a 1-2-1 herringbone configuration. Vitrav's A340-300s are all configured with 30 lie-flat Business Class seats at 75" bed length, 72 EconPlus seats at 40" pitch (same seats as in Economy but with different upholstery), and 198 Economy seats at 34-35" pitch.
