Ohana Airways A330-200 (2001 Livery)

Sweeping changes came to Ohana in 2001 and one of these was a new livery, this would later be replaced with the new scheme which dropped the purple and returned to the traditional various shades of pink used by the airline since its beginnings.

This livery was introduced just after Ohana's bankruptcy following the attacks on September 11th due to the industry downturn the already struggling airline was forced to declare Chapter 11 and to sell off many assets including several airplanes and the famous Coco Palms Resort which the airline had owned since 1980 although the resort had closed due to damage suffered during Hurricane Iniki. The airline would return to profitability a year later and has not experienced financial trouble ever since.

In 2017 the airline expressed interest in buying back and redeveloping the resort, due to it being such a significant a beloved part of Hawai'i history.
