Omanwings Airbus A350-900 (2007-present)

In 2016 Omanwings made a risky decision that came as a surprise to many, due to its existing amount of orders for the 787. On March 16th the airline ordered 15 A350-900s, with options for 10 more. The airline would take delivery of the A350s between 2018 and 2019.

Omanwings will first deploy the A350 in place of the 787 on daily flights to Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Riyadh, for crew familiarization purposes. When the entire fleet has been delivered by December 2019, the A350 will be found operating daily to Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Istanbul, while it'll also be used on 3-4x weekly flights to Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong. On the peak May-October season, the A350 will also be deployed on flights to Athens, Madrid and Barcelona

The A350 includes several amenities not seen on other Omanwings aircraft, including WiFi, phone coverage and socialization areas for passengers of all classes. In doors L/R2 a walk-up bar has been built for Business Class passengers. The area also serves as a welcome area for passengers, since the majority of passengers board from door L2 to get to their seats. Economy Class passengers will be able to find a socialization area with snacks and soft drinks in the rear galley.

A4O-XA is the first A350-900 to be delivered to Omanwings. It first flew on July 29th, 2018 and will be delivered on August 31st. It will enter service on the Muscat-Jeddah route on September 8th. It is configured with 32 Business Class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, 31 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 configuration with 39'' of pitch, and 243 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration with 32'' of pitch.
