A Brief History of WAA: Inspiration from the Past

In 1961, West Australian Airways looked to the past for inspiration, and decided to invest in ten propliners -- Vickers Vanguards -- to serve short- and medium-haul domestic and regional routes. The cheap operating expenses of the Vanguards reaped great benefits, and before long, WAA was once again operating the largest domestic network in the country.
