The -900 and -1000 series are the latest evolutions of the A380 family, after years of slow sales. They combine the latest wing twist, the new cabin including 11 abreast seating on the main deck and new galley arrangements leading to the loss of both the grand staircase in the front and the spiral staircase in the back, and derated Trent XWB engines, leading to lower than ever seat/mileage cost. The -900 incorporates all these features on a standard body-length, while the new -1000 is stretched by 10 frames, to the length of what was once envisioned as the -900.

Certain Middle-East airlines might order dozens of those in their quest for world domination.
