Northern in 1990 received one of the first production 747-400 aircraft. Immediately naming it the airlines flagship. Along with them purchasing seven 747-400ER jumbos in 2004 to replace the oldest in the fleet. The Airline mostly utilizes the 747 on pacific routes flying it to places like Sydney. Tokyo, Beijing and Melbourne. Along with flying it form Denver and Chicago to Amsterdam, London, Moscow and Frankfurt.
