Douglas DC-8-61 Pacific Air West

Despite entering the jet-age with Boeing 707 aircraft a year prior, Pacific Air West ordered 15 Douglas DC-8-61 aircraft in 1966 in order to expand their trans-continental and trans-Pacific operations. The DC-8-61 allowed PAW to open new routes to Japan, Taiwan, Australia and South America, with it also being a common sight in the east coast of the USA.

By 1987, the fleet was retired, with the Boeing 757-200 proving to be a direct successor to the DC-8. Some aircraft were repurposed for cargo service, and some were mothballed, with the aircraft pictured, N861TC, being resurrected 10 years later to fly for Nadair as a combi aircraft all around Africa.

I like everything I see except the logo. It's like a carpark "P" symbol.
