Linhas Aéreas Brasileiro Lockheed Constellation

The first airline outside North America to fly the Constellation, Brasileiro was one of the first to order the new aircraft with high hopes it would increase its network to the U.S and beyond.

Brasileiro heavily promoted its new flagship in adverts being considered one of the most glamorous airlines of the era, now able to operate more international flights with its signature excellent service and was well renowned for its attractive and well dressed flight attendants.

The Constellation remained Brasileiro's flagship for the decade until late 1958 when the first jets entered the fleet, flying as far as Europe via North America. This one was named 'Carioca' when she arrived, a name that she would later pass on to a 707 upon her retirement.

Special thanks to Med for finally bringing out one of my favorites ;)
