Boeing 737-200 (1978)

Boeing 737-200 (1978)

Before it's rebranding, Yukon North started life as Yukon Air Services, flying HS748 aircraft to northern remote communities, and down to Edmonton. Edmonton become a focus hub for linking passengers with the North, with YAS forming interlining agreements with both Air Canada and Canadian Pacific Airlines. The 737-200C was acquired in 1978 to increase cargo and passenger capacity, and continues on to this day.

The city of Edmonton continues to be a focus city for Yukon North, allowing it to launch a successful charter service to vacation destinations such as Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and San Diego, using a 737-300 aircraft. Operations such as this proved essential to profitability for the company, and management is looking at a second 737-300 to link eastern Canada with Whitehorse and Yellowknife.

    This is cool.

Whats with the scorch mark on the fuselage?

Whats with the scorch mark on the fuselage?

Jet exhaust from the reversers, and the attempt by the ground crew to keep the windows clean, at least!

    Nice touch!
