TAMSA Lineas Aéreas Boeing 767-200ER | XA-TDA

TAMSA Lineas Aéreas Boeing 767-200ER | XA-TDA

TAMSA was the Latin American launch customer for the Boeing 767-200ER, receiving its first in 1984. The Boeing 767-200ER was intended to fit in a capacity gap between the larger Douglas DC-10 and Boeing 747 aircraft, and the smaller Boeing 727 and Douglas DC-9 aircraft. Able to fly shorter sectors such as Mexico City to Cancun, or longer sectors such as TAMSA's routes to Europe and South America, the Boeing 767-200ER was a versatile aircraft that allowed the airline to expand in a time that growth in the Mexican market was stagnant.

XA-TDA was the first Boeing 767-200ER delivered to the airline in 1984, and flew until 2004, when it was replaced by an Airbus A330-200. XA-TDA was configured with 30 Business Class seats and 156 Economy Class seats.

TAMSA Lineas Aéreas, doing business as TAMSA Mexican Airlines, is a Mexican airline that was founded in 1934 and now operates to 90 destinations in Mexico, North and South America, Europe and Asia. With a modern fleet of Airbus, Bombardier, Boeing and Embraer aircraft operating from its hub in Mexico City, as well as from focus cities in Cancun, Guadalajara and Monterrey, the airline flies over 20 million passengers a year, and is a proud member of Dynasty World Alliance.
