In 2013, thanks to the global recession, Pan Africain went into bankruptcy.
DFG, a Russian-led investment firm bought a controlling interest in the company and renamed it Africair. Tamandani, the lady on the tail from the beginning, got an attitude adjustment and now she is much happier and looking towards the future. DFG also kept the iconic red engine cowlings. Along with a new name and livery, they hope to rebuild the airline to its former glory.
