I like it overall, though I think you could do a bit more. It is elegant and understated for sure, but lacks something.

Also, this looks a bit late to be something unveiled in 2008 (I think the anti glare paint under the cockpit windows are partly at fault here).

The 2008 bit I agree on; I think I'll change years on that actually. As for boring this 

was the original design, but after consulting with a few others aswell as looking myself I found that simple, elegant was the way to go.

Yeah the similarities are astounding aren't they. The thing this and BI share apart from a bit of the name would be the fact they look like airlines; but you wouldn't know about that.
