Zimbabwe Airlines Branding Showcase

Zimbabwe Airlines Branding Showcase

Zimbabwe Airlines, established in 1990, is the flag carrier of Zimbabwe. Based out of Harare, the national carrier operates domestic and international flights to over 15 destinations worldwide.

The flag carrier underwent a rebranding process after its acquisition by South African group, The Afrika Group. This includes modifying the carrier's logo and livery. The most visible changes to the brand are the bird icon, the typography and a energetic new colour palette.

This showcase features the carrier's refreshed brand items, including boarding passes, business cards, company envelopes, and ballpoint pens, all featuring the new logo and colour palette. Also featured is the January 2017 issue of the airline's inflight magazine, KUBHURURUKA, and a screenshot of the airline's mobile application.

One major highlight of the rebrand is the introduction of frequent flyer programs. Since Zimbabwe is acquired by The Afrika Group, Zimbabwe's loyal and frequent flyers can have the option to join South Africa's carrier frequent flyer programme, SafariMiles, earn and redeem miles the same way Afrika's frequent flyers do. One difference is that the cards of the members feature the tail artwork of the respective airline they registered with.

The rebranding process took a period of six months, starting from June 2016, and ending on January 2017. The rebranding is an evolution, not a revolution of Zimbabwe Airlines.

OMG! Great effort you put into this!

The tail design still bothers me. I am hoping that you stretch it or distort it a bit to flow with the shape of the tail better.
