Huron Airlines was founded in 1927 as Huron Air Transport. HAT, as it was known, flew two Fokker F.VIIa/3m trimotors around the Great Lakes from Cleveland. In 1929 HAT acquired two Sikorsky S-38 amphibious aircraft. HAT offered tours along with travel. Huron Air Transport continued to receive aircraft and increase its reach in the Great Lakes region up until 1938, when the Douglas DC-3 was introduced. With a much higher capacity than any other land-based aircraft at the time and a higher range on one fueling, the DC-3 allowed Huron Air Transport to fly outside of the Great Lakes Area. Huron's first flight outside of the Great Lakes Region was to Newark Metropolitan Airport serving New York City. Once the US joined World War II, Huron donated one F.VII and one S-38 to the newly founded Civil Air Patrol to help the United States protect its borders. The S-38 was credited to one sub kill on the Atlantic coast off of Long Island. In 1946, the DC-4 entered Huron's fleet. In 1947 the DC-6 also found its way into Huron's fleet. Huron had an all-Douglas fleet by 1948. Over the years Huron would maintain a Douglas fleet, using DC-8, DC-9, and DC-10 aircraft. Huron also maintained a long-standing relationship with McDonnell-Douglas. In 2002, Huron announced that it would merge with Eagle Airways, and Huron's last flight landed in Washington Dulles airport from Chicago/O'hare on September 24, 2005.

    Better?

    Better?

I mean, that's a lot of canvas that is empty, not to mention the fact that it's not centered.
