MidAmerican Airlines was the American launch customer of the Airbus A321neo, placing an order for 100 Airbus A320neo family aircraft in 2012, including 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 20 Airbus A321neoLR aircraft. selected the Airbus A321neo to replace its oldest Airbus A321-200s and Boeing 757-200s, and to expand its Atlantic and Latin American operations.

The A321neo fleets are based primarily out of Los Angeles, New Orleans and New York JFK.

MidAmerican's domestic Airbus A321neo fleet is equipped with 16 Business Class seats, 35 Economy Comfort seats and 132 Economy Class seats.
