2. "The Orient Line" Hong Kong Advert

In 1964, MidAmerican Airlines began its first non-stop flights between the continental United States and Japan, operating a daily, non-stop service between Seattle and Tokyo's Haneda Airport. With this, MidAmerican began to advertise their service to Asia as the Orient Line, and the new non-stop service between Seattle and Tokyo cut times even more against competitors; while former flights used to operate via. Anchorage and beat competitors operating via. Hawaii by between 5 and 6 hours, the non-stop flights managed to beat these flights by 8 hours, with MidAmerican's newest Boeing 707-320C aircraft. The Orient Line encompassed destinations across the United States and Asia, as far east as New York/Newark, and as far west as Bangkok, Thailand.

Flights to Hong Kong originated in New York City, operating via. Chicago, Seattle and Tokyo, and continued onto Bangkok.

The advertisement for Hong Kong features a picture of a market in Hong Kong, along with descriptions of MidAmerican's new non-stop service between Seattle and Tokyo as well as MidAmerican's signature Orient Line inflight service.
