Karma A320 (2012-Present)

In mid 2011 due to increased competition from rival Indira - Indian Airways, Air Bengal announced a premium low-fare airline that would operate short to medium haul flights out of a main base at Mumbai with a secondary hub in Kolkata. The name Karma was announced a month before the launch of the carrier and was selected by Air Bengal employees.

This A320 formerly operated in Air Bengal colours until April 2012 when it was repainted in Karma's livery.

Karma currently operates 21 Airbus A320s 10 of which were transferred from parent Air Bengal and the rest delivered new from Airbus, the airline is due 4 more and also has orders for 15 A320neos with deliveries beginning in late 2017 in tandem with parent Air Bengal.
