Adirondack Airlines Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner

Adirondack Fairchild Swearingen SA227-AC Metro III

Adirondack Airlines was a commuter airline based in upstate New York. Flying from its bases in Buffalo and Albany, Adirondack provided air service to small towns otherwise ignored by larger airlines. In 1978, operations ceased after Adirondack was bought out by Central Airlines.

New template! This time it's the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner, or the 'San Antonio Sewer Pipe'. Fast and unforgiving to fly, the Metro has plowed the skies for commuter airlines and freight operators since its introduction in 1968. Over 600 were produced from 1968 to 2001.

Many thanks to Med for his advice on this one!
