Polynesian Airways 787

One of only 3 787s operated by Polynesian Airways, in 2011 Polynesian decided to completely replace their ageing long haul fleet of 4 Boeing 767s. After reviewing offers from Airbus and Boeing the 787-9 was selected as the replacement and the airline placed orders for 3 of the aircraft flying routes from Nadi to Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Guangzhou and also Los Angeles (via Papeete) and Tokyo on a seasonal basis.

Polynesian also has a fourth aircraft on order due to be delivered April 2017. This livery was introduced in 2012 on the 787 when the first aircraft arrived in Nadi from Seattle and as of January 2017 the whole fleet has been repainted.

Polynesian Airways operates 3 Boeing 787-9s (one on order) 6 ATR-42 turboprops and 9 DHC-6 Twin Otters, the airline is currently looking at the narrowbody market for flights within Oceania to Australia and New Zealand.
