Founded in the 1950s as a domestic carrier operating out of Eilat, Eilata Israeli Airways is currently the flag carrier and largest airline of Israel. From its hub in Tel Aviv, it currently serves 40+ destinations across four continents. Between the late 1980s and late 2000s the Boeing 757 was the mainstay of the airline's fleet along with the Boeing 767, primarily used on flights to Europe. The 757 was ultimately retired in 2013, the type having been replaced by the Boeing 737NG.
