1971-1980 Boeing 737 200 Adv only!

N732XC- Boeing 737-200Adv "Spirit of Laredo"
In 1971, AirTexas began expanding westward. Surveys conducted by the airline to measure passenger satisfactory levels in the new livery,
found that the plane stuck out like a sore thumb in the windy, sandy deserts of the west and did not look as inviting. To counter this,
AirTexas had the famous marketeer designer Saul Bass of United to create a friendlier desert themed scheme for the DC-9s and 737s heading
west. And the result was the yellow orange and red stripes and red star. The paint was a huge hit all over the Southwest and AirTexas
passed all major competitors in the destinations. This 737-200ADV saw frequent service in Laredo and Phoenix and was named
"Spirit of Laredo". This aircraft was sold in 1981 to make room for the new 737-300s. The impact of this paint scheme is what propelled
the company into its very reputable state it currently is.

    I kind of like this.
