BIC B2N 1990s-2009

In the 1990s British Island Commuter (BIC) was the only domestic airline in the UK. The airline operates BAe ATP, J-41, and J-31 as well as Piper Chieftains and Britten-Norman Islanders. The airline focuses on commutes from city to city more than hub and spoke operations. There are several flights operated under the Public Service Obligation, serving the Isles of Scilly, Alderny, Stornoray, Kirkwall, and Sumburgh. There are over 30 aircraft in the fleet.
BIC operates 3 Britten-Norman Islanders. One is based in St. Mary's, one in Land's End, and one in Alderny. The Islander does exactly as the name suggests, operates from the main island to other islands. BIC is the only airline to operate in St. Mary's, offering 5 daily flights to Bristol, London, and Southampton, and serves 22,000 passengers per year. In Land's End, BIC operates 3 daily flights to Bristol, London City, and East Midlands, serving 16,000 passengers. For Alderny, there are 6 daily departures to Bristol, East Midlands, Jersey, London City, London Luton, and Southampton, serving 27,300 passengers per year.
