BIC J-41 1990s-2009

In the 1990s British Island Commuter (BIC) was the only domestic airline in the UK. The airline operates BAe ATP, J-41, and J-31 as well as Piper Chieftains and Britten-Norman Islanders. The airline focuses on commutes from city to city more than hub and spoke operations. There are several flights operated under the Public Service Obligation, serving the Isles of Scilly, Alderny, Stornoray, Kirkwall, and Sumburgh. There are over 30 aircraft in the fleet.
The British Aerospace Jetstream 41 is an extended version of the Jetstream 31. British Island Commuter operates 4 Jetstream 41s configured for 29 seats. The J-41 can be seen in British Island Commuter colours in Humberside, Southampton, Guernsey, Liverpool, London Luton, Bournemouth, Coventry, Jersey, and Glasgow. It works alongside the Dornier Do328 as a ~30 seat commuter. The Jetstream is more fuel efficient, longer legged, and cheaper than the 328.
