Lockheed L 1011 1 Haze Airways

Lockheed L 1011 1 Haze Airways

In the 70s Haze was expanding in a big mass and bought a lot of 747s and l1011. The l1011 turned out to be the most famous aircraft of the Haze Airways fleet. The used it a lot and it didnt took long that Haze had way more l1011s than 747s. Passengers loved the aircraft and it quickly was the plane everybody would associate Haze with like the 747 for pan am. Haze could raise their service level even more and the safety of the airline was at a very high standard. Only one big accident occured in 70s. A 747 fully loaded had a full loss of all engines. With effort the pilots managed to make a landing in a forest area. The plane spun and the back part was seperated from the front part. 220 passengers of the over 400 died. It was a horrific accident. It was found out that there was a faulty system in the engines that caused them to shut down. After the event passengers avoided the airline for a little time but after that everything got back to normal although many passengers were a bit afraid of flying with 747-100 similar to the fear from flying with dc-10s at that time. This was one of the reasons the airline focused on l1011s. They even considered buying DC-10s but after them beeing faulty at that time and being torn apart in the news and other media there would have been no point.
