Air Netherlands Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner | PH-AXA

On August 4th, 2014, eyes in the Netherlands turned to the skies as Air Netherlands' first 787 Dreamliner arrived at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Sporting "Dream in Orange" titles and stylish, orange raked wingtips, the Dreamliner's arrival into the Air Netherlands fleet was the beginning of Air Netherlands' 5-year plan to replace its fleet and introduce a new product onboard. PH-AXA sports 34 Ambassador Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 247 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. AN787 was the inaugural flight, flying from Amsterdam to London Heathrow, and the Dreamliner popped up in many European cities in the months following doing crew test flights, including multiple flights to Paris CDG, Helsinki, Madrid, Moscow, Rome and Zurich. PH-AXA replaced a 767-300ER on the Amsterdam - Kilimanjaro - Dar Es Salaam - Amsterdam route.
