"Bahrain Airways 747-200M Stretched Upper Deck"


Bahrain Airways is a major operator of the Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. It had the capability of connecting
Aisa and Australia to Europe with one stop in Manama. In the mid-80's, in an effort to extend the life
of their 747's, the airline embarked on a quest to retrofit most of the 747-100 and 747-200 models
into a Stretched Upper Deck (SUD) version. The retrofit allowed more business class passengers.
This replaced the first class lounge that used to be fitted on the upper deck.
