Homa Airlines - Boeing 747SP

Homa Airlines - Boeing 747SP

Airline: Homa - Iranian International Airlines
Aircraft: Boeing 747SP
Livery: 1994-Present
Aircraft delivery date: 16 April 1978

Homa Airlines is the state-owned flag carrier of Iran. The airline operates flights to a number of domestic and international destinations from its hub in Tehran and secondary hub in Mashhad. The airline uses an aging fleet of Airbus, Boeing, and Fokker types, most of which are aged 15 years or older. As a result of American sanctions the airline has found it difficult to upgrade its fleet, although it has managed to obtain some used Airbus aircraft in recent years. This aircraft was the last 747SP used by the airline, retired in 2015 after nearly 40 years of service.

Since virtually every real airline in Iran uses the same basic livery, I decided to follow the same formula here with a few of my own personal touches. I also reworked the background to look a little better this time; to direct attention more to the plane I applied a motion blur to it to give the impression the plane's in flight.
