I have been looking around to find an advantage of having a hub but I don't really see one. Reading all the topics about this subject don't give me any advantages so if there are any advantages please name them.
A hub allows you to have connecting passengers ----> Connecting passengers only pay half of regular passengers -----> having a hub doubles the rental fee per gate.
So I pay more and earn less??
Isn't it smarter to play with the ticket prices and create a 100% or close to 100% load factor (depending on profit) ?
any advantage of having hubs?

Hubs do double the rental fee, but if you have enough gates you get the advantage of the bulk discount system and can pay less.
Connecting passengers are useful - they are passengers over demand, meaning that if you have an aircraft with a 180Y seats, on a route with a daily demand of 150Y seats, you may still get a 100% load factor flying 7 flights a week.
Trust me, they work well when you have enough flights into a single airport!

Thanks, I'll go try and find out what it does for me. Guess you cant really notice anything if you've only built three hubs.

They may seem pointless to start, but once you start filling out terminals, they are really worth it!
