-Aircraft Evaluation: Let's you compare different aircraft before purchase. You enter a route, choose one/multiple aircraft, and the system shows time needed, fuel consumption, cost per passenger, ...
-Airplane Groups: Let's you create your own airplane groups, which would make organizing fleets (especially big ones) much easier. When creating a new route you can filter the aircraft by aircraft group.
-Terminals: Choose level of service (1-5*) of your terminal, and rent gates that are not in use to other airlines. You choose the rent, which means that multiple airlines can compete with their terminals at an airport.
-Multiple Maintenance Companies: Choose from different maintenance companies that offer different service levels for different prices. The better the service, the more your reputation rises.
-Interlining/Code-shares: Sign interlining or codeshare contracts with other airlines. Interlining is like an alliance, just with two airlines.
-Stock Market: Buy/Sell shares of your airline on the stock market, and buy/sell shares of other airlines.
Please tell me your opinion about my suggestions!

I don't think we will have a stock market,though. The last time it was impletemented it destoryed all airlines, tons of bugs, and it just didn't work out... I don't think the devs are willing to try that again any time soon.

Thanx for your feedback!I like your ideas. I especially like the terminal competition, it adds a new "market" to the game. It would make you think about which gate you are to rent from an airport.

I just thought of another idea regarding the terminals: Lounges. You can create lounges for the business and first class in your terminals, which raises your reputation.
I can understand. I don't find stock markets too important, I just thought it would be a neat feature to have!I don't think we will have a stock market,though. Another New Idea:
-Partnerships: You can form partnerships with hotel chains/car rental companies/travel agencies to raise reputation.

We had this at one point, I wouldn't mind seeing this again but now there is so many modifiers to profit that it won't be easy to implement anymore.

Not a bad idea too, but not an easy thing to implement.

This is planned for AE3.2. (however you can only rent to other airlines in your alliance to make the implementation easier)

Not a bad idea actually. I'll think about it.

Good idea, but not at all easy to implement.

We had this at one point. It really did destroy airlines.
Airlines lost billions and gained billions per stock..not exactly what you call "realistic".
As far as I remember, it was there when I started playing AE (which was a long time ago). I dont see a reason why we cant try it again?

well when something caused that financial melt down that doesnt mean that you should never try it again, it just means that you need to improve on the concept/code
Anything will have bugs when it first gets released (for example the maintenance bug made game impossible to play for some(including myself), and that could be considered as a financial melt down). Its just a matter of fixing them

well its beta, its almost never bug free, and devs could probably open "closed" beta which would be by invitations only
