That video doesn't tell you anything. Its a waste of time IMO :/

I hope it's not a more arcade-version of fax, since they dropped "simulator" from the title :|

If I toldnyou my opinion of the image Microsoft flight has given me so far I would be breaking forum rules so I'll just at the moment it dosent impress

I'm on the same boat as yuxi I don't want some storyline or anything I want a proper simulator I don't want a flying "game"

Well, Microsoft should either keep the genre going and keep it true to what they done in the past or remain the new game and forgot associating with what they made in the past.

Sometimes, i reckon MS should stick to Windows and Office products and forget about making games. Some of their choices in the past 12-18 months have been shockers.

Anyways, looking forward to Aersoft proposed game they are working on at the moment. Should hopefully rival or better anything FS came up with, if they keep to their plan.

Yup... Same here... We don't want to stupid story or arcade flight "game"... We want a simulator MS... even if they do provide us with a simulator... It most likely won't be as good since MS fired aces... <_<

But I'm still really excited about it! :D

Im still the one and only FlightGear person around here :). :crazypilot: .

Well, im pretty sure its going to be a arcade type game. I dont think they are going to put time and money into making it a sim.

I have no idea...I honestly don't see them going into the "ultra arcade" genre, MSFS has probably been the most successful PC software aside from Windows and Office (not many games have been sold for 30 years...).

However, there is a big problem with the installed base...I personally am stuck with FS2004 and can't see me going anywhere anytime soon.

The simple reason is...I have literally TONS of additional content that just doesn't exist for other simulators or which I am less than willing to pay AGAIN (for, say, the FSX-only version).

I know there are lots of people in the same spot as I am; FS2004 was good enough to stand its ground for 7 years thanks to the loads and loads of both free and payware add-ons you could find around.

Therefore, unless they (or some other software house) come out with something shocking and revolutionary, any new simulator will struggle a bit for sales...afterall, making something that is better out-of-the-box than FS2004 or FSX with all the add-ons is going to be next to impossible, both financially and technically...
