Do you think we could add alliance hubs ( like probably in a different colour on your airline profile )
And also an alliance terminal just for your alliance:eureka:

Suggestions are always good but it's nice to back up your suggestion by saying how it should work.
So, how would this work exactly?

Hi guys,
btw. Glennos: Nice new user picture
Uhm, alliance terminals could work somehow....in the database miller prepared some stuff that we can use. So within the database it's allowed to lease gates from another player. This could be a solution for alliance terminals:
- One of the alliance players builds a terminal
- Other alliance members can lease gates at this terminal
This could be helpful on big airports like LHR, CDG, JFK, ATL - so not every alliance member has to build an own terminal.
To prevent cheating the system has to set a fixed price, I think it should be equal to terminal builders gate costs plus 5% (to refinance the building costs).

Thanx elchie for saving me a tough explanation . But i think it should be free use for your alliance members , but if you already have your own terminal you shouldn't have to use the alliance terminal

Hm but when it should be for free - then I would ask: Why should I buy an terminal and pay for it when other members of my alliance can use it for free? To be provocative: Why should I pay millions when my co's will use it for free?

They should pay up to the person who build it... but much cheaper... so in the long run the person who built it will make up all th emoney

sorry for the double post...
OR a person propose on the alliance page to build a terminal... and who ever wants in votes off to a certain time limit... and everyone pitches in that much money.
or... everyone pitches in a certain amount of money and they'll get that many gates...
just ideas..

I think that if person A builds it then anyone that is going to use it should pay the rent for that gate. The alliance member pays the price of the gate that he is renting (discount plus 10%) It would still be cheaper than renting a gate at full price.
But I think we should also be able to rent gates to people even if I am not in an alliance. Say I build 50 gates in LHR and someone is looking for a gate and none are open. I should be able to rent to him at the regular price not my discounted price. This happens all the time in real life.

Exactly what i was going to suggest:p We should have more than one way of making money and gate rental is probably the biggest i mean it sorts out the lack of gates without changing much there will be loads of terminals like normal except this time the gates will be available to other players

Well, we could dip into maintenance, leasing aircraft, cargo... but its a bit too early for that

I like the idea of renting gates regardless of alliance. As a guy looking for ways to make money, I would like to be able to rent gates that I may own through a terminal building to anyone willing to pay my price. Eventually, the market will sort itself out and if I am charging a fair rent, I will get a fair number of carriers renting from me. However, one important thing to add would be a term agreement on the lease. For example, if I build a 50 gate terminal but can only use 20 gates for the first couple of years due to aircraft deliveries, then I could rent 10 gates for a year, another 10 for 2 years, and another 10 for 3 years etc. (or any combination one could think of).
