I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the number of people on this game flying the same routes. I propose we have a few 'worlds' with a limit on the number of players in each world. Everyone seems to fly the same routes, and its no fun for new players who join to have to compete with players that fly 400 routes in every continent, something i'm somewhat against as they are just looking to be number one instead of trying to fly a realistic airline.

With a limited number of airlines, it will be more realistic, won't over crowd the routes, and will be more fun to play.

For example, have a limit on the number of airlines per world to say 200, then limit them to a continent, maybe 40 in the US/canada region, 40 in europe, etc etc. Also limit the airlines to opening up routes outside of their home airport. This coulod stop people from having their airlines fly from 20 different hubs.

Maybe also put a limit on the number of flights to a certain city, for example, an airline may not fly more than 10 routes from amsterdam to heathrow. I have a prime example, An airline called braidhaugh, who is flying 7 different types, 22 aircraft in total, from amsterdam to heathrow alone. This is outragious.

Any suggestions or thoughts on my ideas are welcome

While I have had that frustrations also back in the day the real isuue is LF in other cities. This by the way is being worked on and has been adjusted already and will most likely be adjusted again. I agree to a point with your idea but I also think the name of the game is to build an empire and be number 1. If someone does not want to run a hub and spoke system then they should be allowed to do as they wish.

I also think that no matter what the big money routes are ALWAYS going to be full quick, if you want to make quick money the LHR's, AMS's, ATL's and HND's are going to fill up first.

Just my thoughts.

This has been suggested so many times the last 4 years :)

Maybe when the developers have time ;-)

I agree the routes are getting way over populated for example people put A330's and 787's on the LHR-CDG route and that messes everyone up. Ever day when I check my airline I find out the my DOP has dropped 100 thousand dollars

i have another one for you guys : JFK-IAD 7 DC10's x 6 r/t each = 47 frequencies!!!!
i know that most airlines have multiple frequencies in lucrative routes , i do it as well , but 47 and on DC10 ? Give me a break !! Or like the other guy who has a 727 flying 10 times between LAX - LAS .....
Come on guys , can't they see they are ruining the game ? There must be a way of control by developers !!

Perhaps Limit the Routes for wide body aircraft to 3 and narrow Body Aircraft to 2 frequencies when putting more then one Aircraft on a route;)

On the original post, and the second post, in principal, the limit of player numbers would work but there are very small numbers of players playing AE, compared to past years. The whole idea is to make an airline be a good top-line management of the airline and build up from your original cash and aircraft allocations.

The second post, LF factors, if you look at the latest adjustments, plus notice again that the plane swap has vanashed again, this will make the game more to a lot of players liking. We should see in this next round what the game gives this time, one feels that its going to be more an even playing field that in the past.

The developers have their finger on the pulse and are in my view, driving AE in the right foward direction...:)
