SIM2 - Several Updates

1) Alliance system has been added. Right now it has no effect on loadfactor, that feature has yet to be worked in. For now you can start alliance, join/leave alliances, etc.
2) IATA codes added: Go to the administration page to set your airline's two-letter IATA code.
3) Region filter added on route planning page so you can filter the dropdowns by region.
4) Aircraft is now sorted by type, then hours available by default.
5) Order queue: now shows "next month" only for aircraft that will be delivered next month. Also shows total amount due for next month and for total orderbook.
6) Used market: aircraft that have been on the used market for more than 6 months will be removed at month change. This will help reduce clutter on the market for aircraft that no one wants anyway.
7) Between 0 and 6 out-of-production aircraft will be added to the used market every month. These aircraft are between 5 and 20 years old. These are limited to aircraft operated by major airlines in the past 5-10 years. Thanks to fish10 for researching and collecting data for these old aircraft.
8) Aircraft aging has been re-enabled. To assist in late-game replacements, a new feature enables you to swap entire aircraft (move all routes from aircraft A to aircraft at a time. Unfortunately some additional testing and bugfixes are required so this feature has not been activated yet.
9) Valuation calculation should now include deposits for aircraft orders, so airlines should no longer jump and and down on the rankings page after placing large orders.
Added December 31, 2008:
10a) There are two new columns on the rankings page - number of daily flights and number of passengers carried daily. The pax figure is calculated by multiplying the aircraft seat count by route frequency by loadfactor, so it should be accurate.
10b) The number of destinations are also accurate now and are calculated by directly counting the number of unique cities in routes rather than just counting gates (as some gates may be unused).
10c) I temporarily removed the profit column because it doesn't work and just takes up space.
Added January 1, 2009:
11) Fixed missing link in leaving-alliance page so you can leave an alliance if you're the leader and only remaining airline.
12) Sorting by profit and yield on the routes page now works! New method of getting profit and yield (math done in sql query instead of php to make things much simpler and sortable).
Changeroute.php:
13a) Fixed own logo in table (your own logo didn't show up before because of a bad path)
13b) Added aircraft ID to own table (thanks to fish10 for the suggestion)
13c) Added alliance logo to competitors' list
14) You can now change the price for all your manually priced flights on the same route (i.e. all your manually priced flights PVG-HKG and HKG-PVG). This will save a lot of work for everyone who has a lot of manually priced aircraft on the same route.
This list will be updated as new features / bugfixes come in, so check back often!
Between now and the reset in January is a good time to test these new features in case there are unanticipated problems on the sim2 server.
Enjoy! :sdrool:

2) - You may want to change this to a four letter alpha numeric code. With the number of airlines/players currently in the sim, this would lead to a number of duplicates.
6) - Nice. This has been needed for a while now and will help remove the over priced aircraft.
7) - Awesome. This had been requested a long time ago and will be a nice change. :-Clap
