Sim 2 Privatly Selling Planes

In sim 2 are you able to sell planes to other people and airlines? I cant seem to find how to do it. This may be a bit of a dumb question.

I don't think private sales are in SIM2 any more (it really is annoying sometimes)

You have to sell via the 'Broker'. Go to the Aircraft menu and look at the bottom of the page.

To be honest you are probably better off squeezing every last bit of profit out of them rather than trying to sell, but that's just my opinion!

On two separate notes:

1. Load factors seem very low this time. Last game you struggled to dip below 100% even quite late on. This time they all seem much lower. Is that soemthing that has been fixed for realism?

2. How do I change the name of my airline? I use the BOAC logo as I wish to trade as BOAC (ah the nostalgia!) but am still registered as Inter Alia.

1. The autopricer seems to be broken causing the illusion of lower LFs. I've had to manually price every single one of my routes which is causing me to have to babysit them far more than I care to.

2. To change your airline name you have to declare bankruptcy. I assume you probably don't want to do this now that you're already a few days into the round but maybe next time right before the reset you could declare... you may have to play around with it, if BOAC has ever been used before then you won't be able to use it as it seems that even the old players never loose their airline names though they haven't played for years. I had a hard time finding a real airline name that was available, hence the little heard of Royal Khmer, lol.

There's a good reason that private sales aren't allowed anymore. It allows cheating too easily.

This should really be broken out in its own thread since it has nothing to do with private sales, but then you'd get a lot of responses telling you to search first as its been covered many times.

To answer your question each game day is 1 real life hour. There are 24 game days in a game month. Each day changes at half past the hour and the montly change is at 4:30am eastern time in N. America.

Take a few minutes and go read through the Wiki, it will answer a lot of your questions that will come up as you learn the game. Its a Sticky at the top of the Game Discussion forum.
