A valid suggestion, would assist all and more so in sim2I would like to see some route capping built into the game whereby it will only be possible for any one airline to operate a maximum of 2 planes on any one route.
By this I mean
- 1x freq allowed
- 1x + 0.5 freq allowed
- 1x + 20x freq allowed
- 10x freq + 0,5 freq + 10x freq not allowed
Any size planes
You get the gist of it I hope. This will stop airlines putting 10 / 20 / 30 planes on 1 route.
What will this achieve?
This will slow down the game a little and make it more playable and stop larger airlines expanding so fast on lucrative routes. It will also stop larger airlines from trying to block other airlines completely from routes which is in my opinion not in the spirit of the game, yes I know I do that in the past but we need to think of the future of this game , if there is one?
P.S I know I sound like a stuck record (if any of you remember what that is) but it would be occaisonlly nice to here from the developers about what they are doing. If nothing is being done then fair enough, let us know so we can go and waste our time elsewhere ;-)

Probably Sim 2, because as we remember all development at this time is directed at Sim 2 :eureka:Is this for Sim1 or 2.

Totally agree with Glennos. Nothing ticks me off more that someone placing 6+ A/C on the same route. That is not and will never happen in real life.
i said something about this months ago but nothing was ever done with the idea that there should be a cap... but limiting to aircraft is not the right way. in RW, BA opperates 11 flights daily from london to NY and 11 the other way around with 747's. so its not like its unrealistic to do that. plus how many other airlines also operating large amount of flights on that same route.
SW operate between two none hub airports (KPIT-KMCI) four daily flights all with different aircraft. and the same goes for many other airlines.
i think a passenger cap based on range would be better...
22217 sim1- Boeing 747-100 LAUNCH CUSTOMER!
17904 sim2
BETA TESTER- #1 airline, only if it actually counted lol

Well whether you cap it by passengers or planes it does not matter, routes need to be capped. Not much point in talking about the real world because not many airlines can afford 150 a333's & 100 a380's & 100+ 787's after 6 years of operation ;-)
We need to keep our suggestions easy to implement seeing as even the very basic suggestions take eons to get into the game if they do at all.

You're so wrong about that. Do you have a subscription to Expertflyer or KVS? Take a look at some of the major business routes. 6 frequencies a day by 1 airlines is nothing on some routes. Sure no one has that many a day from say Atlanta-Pensacola but on ATL-JFK, Delta alone has 7 frequencies on most days of the week. They have anywhere from 6-9 frequencies a day from ATL-LAX... KLM has anywhere from 8-11 frequencies a day from AMS-LHR... see where I'm going with this? Major routes get high frequencies by large airlines.
