I've spent countless hours over the last three days putting together the auto pricing functionality. I think I've got it where it needs to be, but be ginger with it, as there's bound to be bugs.

Here's how it works: When you're setting the ticket price, whether it be on the new route creation, route update, or research, simply click the "Turn Auto Pricing On" button. Don't forget to set your frequency, and calculate your revenue. Your pricing will be automatically set to the best price (+/- 5%) and if any of your competitors make changes that affect this route, your price will automatically be updated.

But its not going to be perfect, because every time you adjust your routes, all of the other players with auto-pricing will adjust to your changes. Of course you can always go back to manual pricing by clicking the "Turn Auto Pricing Off" button. Be ready to constantly change your route if you do this though.

Time is currently stopped, and I'll give it a few days to iron out any bugs. Please make sure to report your bugs in the bugs forum.

Enjoy!

thank you, thank you, thank you! i'm so excited!

Question - when I go into "Info" page for a route, it doesn't really tell me if it's on auto pricing or manual pricing....is there a way to see that?

Thanks. Now, I would like to know if you can change it so I can see my ATL-MCO route, please.

In almost every world, I use the airline "Alto Airlines" unless I don't feel like it :yes:

well, I found the first bug :P

My first gates

ORD Chicago O?Hare, United States of America 2 0 Details
CLE Cleveland, United States of America 1 0 Details
DTW Detroit, United States of America 1 0 Details

Then I want to return them:

Airport City Gates
Returnable
You don't have enough open slots to return any gates

I have NO routes and no planes!

====
so I can't make myself bankrupt ....
====
Also there is a ? in Chicago O?Hare it should be Chicago O'Hare.

I think this new idea of Auto Pricing is long overdue, Miller it works fine, so far but I did try the swap place on an existing and thought that if I turn off auto price and back on see if any change, this resulted in an extra 10% revenue. Top work Miller

I still have some tweaking to do, but one change I made this evening is to highlight the routes with manual pricing in green on the routes page. That should help you determine quickly which routes are automatically priced, and which are manually priced.

You used to be able to sort your aircraft by Type / Age etc. This no longer works.

Also to add, u could also fix the gate page, from the amount of gates u go (from the most to the least) and same for the slot column. The sort function for the gate page hasnt worked for a good 6-12 months too..

The auto-pricing feature only works to within 5% of a given price. What this means is that if the price is high, a 5% difference could mean all the difference in the world.

For instance: a $2,000 fare will be checked at 5% increments: $2,100 and $1900. With these large swings, its extremely likely that the actual best price is within that span somewhere but won't be found.

The answer?
Too bad. :P You don't pay your VP of pricing enough anyways.
