Am I missing something obvious?!?!?!

I just bought an A310 with 6000 nm range. I am trying to fly between two airports that has a 4800 nm distance. It will not let me create a route, am I missing something obvious or is there something wrong? I do have free gates at both airports. For the mean time I set up another long haul flight and it worked just fine. If anyone know or thinks they know whats wrong then please help. Thnx

Yes i searched and yes this is my first full game. I came at the end of the last game and I still ave a few things to learn, obviously.

4800 nm is too far for a round trip. You can only do a 1 way at that distance.

try selecting the aircraft and use the link that say place this on new route and you should gain 4827nm the a313 that is

HAHA of course. The distance between my two cities is 4841 nm.
Glennos- How did you come up with the 4817nm?
If I were to buy another airplane to use on this route what other information am i looking for? Turn around, Speed? Obviously distance is the main thing. Anything else?
