Help me fight the Navy Bug until Miller can fix it.

Until Miller can fix this, I think we players will have to fight.

Remember, The NAVY and Western may not be nice or friendly, but they are very clever and worhty opponents that we should respect.

My daily operating profits are down $400000 per day fighting The NAVY - any help would be appreciated.

TO FIGHT THE NAVY BUG - FIND ROUTES WITH HIGH LOAD FACTORS WITH THE NAVY OR WESTERN FLYING. IF THE NAVY OR WESTERN HAS AN ABNORMALLY HIGH FARE, RESET YOUR FARE. JUST RE-ENTER THE FARE AND FREQUENCY. YOUR DAILY PROFIT WILL GO DOWN, BUT HIS WILL GO DOWN MORE.

I reset some of the routes (which I think de-activates the bug) and then I think he comes along and re-activates the bug. The bug causes income to go up for ALL people flying on the route. So... constantly check and reset your fares - reducing your income will also reduce his income. As his fares are higher, his income reduction will be greater than yours, and if everybody does it, he will have to re-activate the bug on dozens, maybe hundreds of routes.

Until Miller fixes the bug, or until The Navy proves this is not the way to beat this bug, or until all players decide to just ignore the Navy and hope the bug goes away, the bug will be present.

So ... any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It's seems that the Ae community will not be denied the right to talk about the navy. By the way, since there is another thread on this, my comment about arresting him was sarcastic. I WAS JOKING. I guess saying through cyber space takes the humor away.

Please don't hijack this thread. If the forum member claiming to be navy comes on don't respond. His posts will be deleted. The subject of this thread is very narrow- how to make navy loose money on the routes he is flying. Its not a study in the ethics of cheating, or what you want to do to the navy or waht miller should be doing. Let's keep it on topic.

And I feel I am to blame for Doug saying that it is getting as far a saying Miller is un-American. A little clarification on that: It's Millers server, he can do as he wants, but since it's a tough decision to kick someone off your webspace, I think we should have a vote on it.

But, if he is cheating using a profit bug, what does it matter what else is flying on the route? Where is miller anyway, haven't seen much of him lately.

He does some simple things to increase his load factor though the bug. If the prices are reset he loses his load factor increase. He can then reset the route with the bug, but this takes time. If everyone makes a point of reseting the routes they share with Western or Navy whenever they are on, then their routes will suffer.

Either hes really fast or the fix don't work. Just after the hour his ticket sales continued at their previous pace and all the routes I reset went back to 100%.

I hate to say this but I don't think that brunswicknavyair is our culprit. His profile says that he joined today, so unless he has chosen to stay out of the forums until now, we should be looking for someone else.

I think the fix worked, but it is not do-it-once fix. It is a do it all the time fix.

And it is possible that the bug has been automated.

A forum member may not be the culprit, but a player flying The Navy and Western are definitely the culprits.

HaHa. He is listening or monitoring his airline fairly regularly. Ticket prices have now dropped on a number of routes. For all those that detest $10-$30 ticket prices, you need to check out what he is doing.

Funniest is the LAX-LAS route where he has one aircraft at $350 and the other at $10. At least he can still make money while everyone else loses.

I don't think he is still making money. The total revenue seems to be based on the last person to update the flights on a route. So if you are last, the program will update based on what you do (and I am assuming you are not cheating, so the $350 flight will be empty).

If he is the last to update, then the bug will be activated.

$30 flights may not be required - just something low enough to make his high fares unreasonable. I am using $80 - $100 when he is using $220-$350.

Chicken, i disagree with u on one point - Western

The person running Western, is not a cheat and highly unlike to use any bugs to cheat. I have, through, MSN, helped him make decisions on regards to his route network and fleet and obviously, and he was only playing this game just before the last reset and this current game. He is just been affect by what The Navy is doing and therefore, didnt know about it until some people where started pointing fingers and i told him what was going on.

Im not here to defend cheats, but i dont not wish people to start pointing the finger at people, like the person running Western, who has been an innocent party in all of this.

The main person behind all of this has been The Navy and we need to stand up together and take him down and hopefully make him regret using the "bug" to cheat.

I am not competing against Western, but have based my statement on the statements of others.

I think The NAVY has automated the bug. I have updated 4 sectors about 30 times this past hour, and they all get reset.

What are other people finding?

I'm helping with one route for now!

Price is down to 50!

You might do well to talk to SA, he has some insight. I'm not really sure this is going to do anyting.
