I've also been working with an open-source developer to create an aviation-specific digg clone. Its very basic, but functional. If you're not familiar with digg.com, its a user-driven content site. That means that you (the users) submit stories or links you think are worthy of being shared and you can also vote or "scoop" stories that you think are worthy of being noticed. The higher the votes, the more visible the story is.
As always feedback is appreciated.

Just a suggestion, regarding aesthetics.. Right now, the yellow advert in the game's menu bar clashes rather spectacularly with the rest of the pages..
Would it be possible to have it fit in better, without being so annoying to the eye? Or perhaps leave it out of that menu and just with a banner across the top of the page instead, again with colours fitting the page better.

I like the idea. Just remember though that sites like the Chicago Tribune, you may have to log in in order to see the article. I know it wouldn't let me look at the Northwest/ATA article.

Miller this type of posting / has been tried before but failed.
Reason is:
1. Some new posts come from established papers who have a net version (Pay as you read) plus their normal print media.
2. People argued that it was another way to make $$$$ for the Paper as you read an extract, be it short, but to read the whole story you had to sign up to that paper and a monthly or annual subscription fee.
3. There was a post of bad vibes as one of the News Links sold the people who signed up for a free on-line read all their personal details, and the spammers got it faster than flash gordon with barrages of junk mail.
PSA just quoted this vie also above
Having said this, Yes I like the idea, but why not start your own Page / web / linking to others and place advertising to attract the extra revenue, why did you go via a 3rd party to opt this?
