Announcing Private Alliance Message Boards

Thanx to Yukawa for the idea and methods to go about this.


Starting today, we will begin allowing legitimate alliances to operate their own private message board. Only members of the alliance will be able to view the message board, and the alliance leader will be the moderator.

There are several requirements to acquire your own board

• You may only lead one alliance forum.
• Your alliance must have at least 4 active members.
• The alliance leader must have an alliance logo, or an airline logo with the alliance logo included within it in the signature of his/her posts.
• An alliance charter must be created stating the intentions of the alliance, area of operations, and prerequisits for airline membership. The charter, logo, and message from each member must be included on the public "Alliances" board before consideration is made for a private forum. This will also be where I verify new member requests so all interested members must express interest on this thread. Make sure the thread title is obvious to its intentions.
• The alliance's message board must remain active. (I don't have any hard limitiations on this, other than it is up to me to determine if a board has gone inactive. Just don't leave it for weeks, or it defeats the purpose of having your own board).
• Requests for a private forum should be made to me through U2U. Please make sure you meet the above requirements before you make this request.
• Requests for granting users access to the private forum should also be made to me through U2U. I will manually add members as I receive the requests.

The important thing to note is the thread in the alliances forum. Make sure you have the logo and required parts of the charter. Also make sure that each new user expresses interest on that page. If you need help uploading a logo, conduct a search for the several posts on this, or ask somebody.

In the game, what do alliances do? Do they codeshare or something? Or is this just for kicks?

In my opinion we just have internal agreements about routings and a/c, at the moment That may help allys to controll the sectors within itself. But there are no active pos. which you can set.

right now not much other than discussing routes and lower aircraft rates.. but in the later developments there will be stuff opening.

and please do not start random alliances like i have seen like 20 in the past 2 weeks or something like that, try to work together to make one, not just one man alliances... just a suggestion that would help all.
