Next reset?

Before everyone gets in a tizzy, I am not suggesting a reset! I am only asking when a reset might take place?

I am asking because I find myself fighting a stupid LF fight that is certain to destroy one or both airlines. Although my airline makes more money and has been ranked 2nd for quite sometime (not bad for only second time ever playing, I think), someone has felt the need to spend every waking hour resetting every route every hour on the hour.

As much as I like this game and appreciate the work and effort by all parties involved, I do work, have a family, a new baby and a life away from my computer! I would love to see this game out to the end but won't spend the majority of my life trying to beat the LF Bug.

If TW could clue me in to when a reset may take place, I can then determine wether I want to continue playing or resign from this game.

I think, if i remember correctly, the next reset would be AE v3. Now, thats not an official statement, that a conclusion have come up with. I hope it is, but there may be a chance of another reset with the current version if v3 isnt finished.

However, a usual round lasts around 4-6 months, depending of course, how many people are playing and how saturated the market is.

Apart from that, i guess nothing more that i can say

I typically think 4 months was a round. about 10 AE years typically though if there aren't any outstanding bugs or oversaturation, it could go longer. Last round, I wasn't even done with building terminals and hubbing so as long as people don't cry foul, it should last longer.

Give it 8 more AE years. A reset should be done then. I personally doubt V3 would be out before the New BKK Rail Link is open

Resetting prices is annoying... true... But that's just a part of the game (for now)... But then again. It's really annoying to see people setting their prices to 1$ fare:

May be the Dublin Port tunnel will be open by then? (Its been delayed by countless years at this stage and still being delayed...)

when i chatted to TW a while back, he told me that we'd probably see this round through to the end, then have another game with V2 and then play V3

Sorry, about that! I only did that because my competitor kept resetting that route for me. It would end up costing me more $$$ then just leaving it at $1 and taking the loss. Maybe I will change that route back to normal so as not to screw your game up.

After having several routes caught in the same pissing match, I gotta agree. Resetting the same routes a couple times a day, gets OLD

I think when this round started, I figured up that it would be done in November or December. Don't take my word on it though.:confused:

That sounds familiar. I thought you were doing the same thing before. It sounds more like the LF script is punishing the larger airline. Or the first airline on a route will take the hit every time while the other airline will make the profit.

be serious, didnt they say like 2 years ago ae v3 would be out??? its never going to be released, just like they will never fix the LF bug or anything .. maybe the one way route bug? (or have they FINALLY fixed that? , probly not)

I'm sure I'm not! Unfortunately as the game stands right now it gives a big advantage to players who can spend every waking hour at their computer and thats great if you can do that. But for those of us that have other interests, it makes it very difficult to stay competetive. I guess thats just part of the game, I just have to deal or resign. :ssleepy:

lets see, 75% of people in game sit at computer ... the other 25% ya.. have interests... im giving that extremly lenient for in game sit @ computer .....
