Palm Tree Express, one of the leading AE world airlines has made application to the governments of the SouthAsia/Australia region to commence both domestic and international flights from major airports in early Year 5. The government of Australia is now soliciting comments from the leading airlines in the region as to the impact of this proposal. PTE is expected to invest $3 billion in 'flying' stock within the first year.

PTE claims that its investment would facilitate economic development in the region. The proposal to the governments suggested that PTE would be willing to work with some domestic carriers but was silent on the issue of alliances.

PTE has announced that it has commenced operation in Asia/Australia region. The governments of the region have indicated that no airline has objected to this proposal and therefore they were commited to granting approval.

Hahaha, you have some sort of humour. As if you would have reconsidered doing it if I or some other Asia/AUS/NZ airline had protested to "the governments of the region", whoever they would be for AE...! So how and where could we have voiced our objections? On the other hand, your presence may scare a few others off, who knows, in the end good may come even from this. And I guess if it hadn't been you, we would probably soon have Australis, Saturn V or Ajax trying the same thing. To those three: no, this is no invitation. Battle out your wars where you are now, we don't need them here.

You will have to trust me on this one. If I had as much as one objection I would not have gone in to the area. No one as much as commented on this announcement. My innovative juice is overflowing so give me a couple of days and I will make a decision as to whether I pull out or not. If you noticed I have used Q400 only except where the distant warranted it, I used EMBs.

Wow, that would be amazing! No, I'm not talking about you pulling out, because, as I said before, other would come in your place. It's about you actually being ready to listen to people telling you that they would rather not have you on their home turf... And you actually made it to the top 10 with such an ethic? Amazing, truely, seriously, amazing....! So, good on you for considering withdrawing, but I'd rather have humane competitors than like you than some others....

PTE has announced today that it will be pulling out of South Asia/Australia region before the end of the month. This announcement came after PTE had commited significant investment to the region. The chairman however went on to say:

"We will consider acquiring an airline in the region and outfitting them with suitable aircrafts to compete in the Asia/Australia region. Interested parties should check the forum [Suggestions section -Acquisitions and Mergers] for futher details"
