Can someone tell me whats the difference if you build a hub or not?? You don't lose the gates if you are not using them or are there no adventages with creating a hub?

Sorry butt i can't find anything about it in the manual, only find hub when they tell about the startup of your airliner. I would really appreciate it if someone can past the text over here, Thanks

Hubs increase the demand at airports for your airline. Each city has a constant value that represents its passenger base. Demand on routes is calculated using the passenger base of the two cities served. Opening a hub increases the number of passengers that are available based on the number of people you fly to that city.
It depends on the size of the market. In small city you wouldn't need as many flights to make it worth while, because the increase from the additional travelers would make the city an appreciabley biggermarket for you. If we're talking HKG or LHR, you need a lot more traffic to make a noticeable diffrence.
Hub costs are based on the cost of gate rental from an airport. To open a hub, you need to own at least 5 gates at the airport where you want to create your hub. It is however recommeneded that you only open a hub where you have a large operation (larger than 20 gates) as the costs incurred with opening a hub might greater than the benefits. Also, hubs depend on the size of the market. For smaller cities, you would not need as many flights as at a large city to make your hub worthwhile. This is because the increased passengers from the small city's hub status would make the city an appreciable bigger market for you. In large cities such as New York or London, you will need a lot more traffic to make a noticeable difference
To open a hub you will first have pay $500,000 per gate, and a significant amount thereafter to keep it open. Therefore, you will get the best value at cities you serve with large aircraft. Small aircraft will provide fewer passengers per gate, so you should not open a hub in a city you serve with many smaller aircraft. You do not have to open a hub at the airport you start at.

I dunno, my RNO hub made alot of money using Q4's and 2000's last round..... Then again with half of the destinations out of RNO being under 600nm, an A319 would not make a good profit on a route that takes 1.5hrs roundtrip.
As for Hub Costs, make sure you have a DOP over 1.5mil to make sure you can make it over that "Hub Cost" bill they send you each month.

Well..you can get away with a Q400 or two. And certain Embraer jets will do the job just fine as well.
