What determines the amount of frequencies a plane can do on a route? I just don't understand. Thanks:)

Time to fly the route (Block time), like if it was 2 hours, and the plane has 22 hours free then you can do 11 frequencies. But it also depends on gates, if you have 5 slots free at both airports you can only do 5 frequencies!

That plus the it takes to turn the plane around each direction.

Of course, economic factors play a part too. If I were to dump 5x 753 on SEA-YVR, and you had an E175 on the route, it would be too expensive to operate more than a couple frequencies.

That depends on how big of a hub you operate. If I have a B739 on LAX-SFO at 8x daily and then someone tries to throw an A333 at the route, I will lose very little profits. The other person will have to lower his ticket prices and may just barely make a profit.

Ahh, that helps too. I am starting to understand this competition stuff.:shappy:That depends on how big of a hub you operate.
