Im a currently operating a flight from Bejing - Sydney with an A330. The ticket is 640 pounds. There is only 1 airline in competition with me, and their ticket is 600 pounds. My load factor is 100%! However, my profit is -$7000 - WHY??? I have flights with the A330 similar in legnth for a cheaper ticket price and a lower load factor operating for about $150,000. Any reason why this is?
This route previously was very profitable on this price and loadfactor! I have tried increasing the ticket cost, and it just decreases my load factore and reduces my profits!
Any Help?
Thanks,
Chris

Go Low!
Depending on your hardware, lowering the ticket price will make your profit go higher, always does that for me.

Is it one way?
It will have to be, it's too far for return. And this probably explains the problem. When oneway routes experience change, they have to be closed and re-scheduled, otherwise AE calculates the operating costs for return flights but the income for oneway........

Maybe it's another bug ?? Several days ago, i must reset my SYD-CGK route every morning. After several time of reseting, it's back to normal again. Nothing to worry about ! :shappy:My load factor is 100%! However, my profit is -$7000 - WHY???
Yeap, your right. I was surprised when i saw the cost to fly SYD-CGK was 45k for 1-way. Until now, i don't have a courage to change the ticket price. Even when i change the same price, it's going red !!otherwise AE calculates the operating costs for return flights but the income for oneway

You could (well, you have) set your tickets so cheap you'd have a full plane but you wouldn't be making any money.
Just set the ticket price so that your profit is as high as you can get it, not your load factor. LF is really just how full your planes are. As long as you're making money it doesn't matter if you have a 1% or 100% LF.

Old bug..nothing new....be nice to have it fixed but they are too busy with V3 to work on it..if you still want to operate the route, just reset your route.
