I've got 5 B1900Ds and just about enough money to get another one. Of course, I don't want to have an airline with just B1900Ds. So what should I get next? What's the next best aircraft for a small regional airline? I did the math and figured that a Saab 2000 would probably be best for the route I want to put it on, so that's my best guess.

Any advice?

If you've done the math and the saab looks like it will work well on it go ahead and get it. There is no line for saabs so you will get it the next day and in my expierence the saabs can hold thier own on short routes.

Only problem is that I'd have to sell planes to get a Saab, or save up for another few "months".

Sorry, forgot to mention that.

What I would do is sell 1 beech (reduce frequencies on other routes to keep all your gates) and order a Saab or a Q400. This will give ure DOP a boost and allow you to replace the rest of your beech fleet quicly.

What is ure airline ID?
Takeoffs are optional; landings are mandatory.

My ID is 11604. If you click on my logo in my sig it will take you to my page.

I'm looking at the Q400 now. Per seat, it's cheaper to operate than the Saab and also cheaper to buy (per seat). In other words, I think I'll get more seats for my money with a Q400.

I suggest the Q400. I used to operate 4 Beeches and I wasn'tt doing too bad, but then I got my Q400 and my profit increased a LOT. I have 3 Q400's right now and all three are making over 100k each. They're making my Beeches look like toys. I think you'd be better off with the Q400. Even though there's a small wait, it's benefits are too great to pass up.

I would go for the ATR's if your routes are less than 500 miles. No Queue, good economics.

the -42 is much cheaper and will get you almost as many seats as the 2000. The -72 has almost as many seats as the q400.

Their problem is range. If the routes are over 400 miles then the 328/2000/q400 are better choices
Bushey Airlines

A little of this and a little of that.

Most of my routes are over 400 miles so I think I'll go with the Q400. The ATR-72 is my second choice just because of all the seats they have crammed in there.
