I've opened up BAE Systems aircraft. Not all of them... just three...

But its a start :o

No requests for aircraft types please, wasnt a planned change and i'm not sure if the numbers are accurate...

You've got

RJ85
BAe 146-300
J-31

:P

For those that have ordered, let me know how they perform... PM for confidentiality if you wish...

Following my calculations they perform very bad:
- J-31: worst aircraft on the AE market.
- Avro RJ85 (both engine types): same as a B717-200.
- BAe-146-300: same as an EMB170LR.

Operation of the aircraft on route ZRH - DUB.. Comparing prices between Saab 2000 and BAE 146-300...

Saab 2000: 75k DOP, give or take a bit.
BAE 146: 130k DOP, give or take a little.

Performance is okay as far as I can see. I haven't tested further, however, planning one changing the fleet eventually with these types.

edit: Frequency on the route is 2 times daily.

No, but it should be correct though. It means that the aircraft is relatively expensive to operate. I should explain it a bit more detailed:

This might be true, but since the BAe 146-300 has 106 seats and the Saab 2000 55 you should look at the revenues and the profit. It should give a better indication on which aircraft is cheaper to operate.
When, for example, the Saab 2000 would have 100k revenue and 75k profit it would take 25k for operating. When the BAE 146 would have 200k revenue and 130k profit it would take 70k for operating. This would mean that the BAE 146 has higher profits, but that they are relatively lower than those of the Saab 2000.

Fair enough, it is probably more expensive per seat to operate, but two facts to consider..

1. It's a jet plane, which already increases fuel usage in itself..
2. It has 4 turbines, be it small, so the usage would be even higher than a regular 2 engine jet. Especially the design of the engines on this type would make it fairly uneconomical compared to other types.

In short, I think the profits and such as projected now are fairly realistic in comparison to other types. I will be making a larger inventory of various destinations and frequencies to see how the performance would change from that. I'll post that in here too.

You don't want to go on an Avro...they are very cramped (unless you are comparing to an ERJ-135!)

Its nickname the "Whisper" jet for a reason... So they make hardly any noise at all...

I swear one of those could fly into the back of someones head and they wouldnt hear it coming!

I have flown on a few 146s, even a Dan-Air one, and found them very roomy and comfortable. The best feature is the uninterrupted view of the ground. Lufthansa were very miffed when BAE canned the RJX because their passengers like flying in their AVRO RJs. Yes they are very quiet and almost vibration free inside.
