Currently only 4 Saabs in the queue while there are 4 pages of Q400s.

Saabs provide a viable alternative to Q400s. Although it carries less passengers, Saabs fly faster and turn quicker, making up for the deficit somewhat. An experienced player can extract 300k of dop out of a Saab at this stage, which is close to a Q400.

More importantly, you get a plane making money in the next month change instead of waiting 4 months for a Q400!

Shush... I don't mind people buying those Q400s and waiting in a 4 month queue :)

:puzzled: Something wrong with you man? Why are you trying to give away good strategy? Unless your hurting for a Q4. :) Let these fools buy Q's while the rest of us are busy flying our Saabs and making money. I can make an extra trip in the Saab on most routes that the Q can't. While that does not make up for the lack of seats, once the route is saturated, the Saab should provide better profits than the Q4.

The only trouble (and the main reason why I don't buy any Saabs) is their range which is about 100nms too low for me......... Thus I will have to join the queue!

Everyone to their own i guess....

Obviously, everyone has their own decision why they choose either plane and quite frankly, they already decided on which way they wish to go. Obviously, there is always going to be a disadvantages and advantages of each aircraft and people make choices depending on that reason...

hahaha so funny, (FOOT & MOUTH) Talks too much, lets others know what is best, in an advancement game, you now watch the SAAB 2000 order book match the Q-400 in no time. So Funny, LAMO :)

Now that the Saab order book is filling so fast, it may become wiser again to order the Q400. You have to wait long for both planes now anyway :)

Maybe not. The Q400's order page is almost twice as long as the Saab's. But...each to his own.

Hmm...

The "Estimated delivery time" for a Saab these days is 3 months while a Q400 looks likely to enter the 7 month territory, all according to the game of course.

I can almost hear all the cogs i your brain turning. :)

Sometimes, yea, that does happen - and by almost 100k, the Q400 is definitely a better choice, even if you have to wait longer.

All to his own I guess.

Good choice on the Saabs. I like them better then the Q4's and less of a wait. :)

Good way to divert players to the SAAB orders in an attempt to make the Q-400 list shorter, didnt work and from reading the comments on Q-400 V SAAB 2000 the Q is more acceptable to many, plus good resale value :)

Yes, I think that we will see a much wider variety of airframes than we did in the last round.

But I do fear for when the game moves to jets and there are only two manufacturers for aircraft 150+. It may slow the growth of the the top players but I anticipate that the top 50 players will monopolize the order books.

That's why most of the top 50 know that each manufacturer has a particular aircraft (or two) that are better than the other. So, don't be surprised when the lines are for mainly the same type of aircraft.

You win on the Saab vs. Q4. I really don't need to stand in line for props anymore, at least not until I'm ready to start my new hub. :)
